Why I Joined TIP: I joined TIP because I am passionate about being there for people during difficult times. The nature of the work is so sacred.

Activities Outside TIP: I love to read, spend time outdoors, and be with with my family. 

One Word to Describe Volunteering: Life-Changing

Fun Fact About Volunteer: For a period of 11 years, I joyfully volunteered as a foster parent and cared for 89 “medically fragile” infants as well as a couple hundred older kids. I still keep in touch with many of them — and they call me ‘Mama Heidi.’
