Fun Fact About Volunteer: During the 2003 wildfires, while I was working Disaster Response with the Red Cross, I actually hung up on the White House thinking it was another prank call. It wasn’t. The chapter CEO came into the Operations Center and told me to take the call; it was President Bush’s Press Secretary who then handed the call over to the Secret Service to interview me.
